Christmas Break

I’m really behind on posting, but I had the week between Christmas and New Year’s off, and I’m just now getting around to feeling like catching up.  Since I spend my days in front of a computer, it is very easy for me to go on strike when given the chance.  I have a couple things on the horizon though, so stay tuned.

Anyways, the break turned out to be fairly awesome although the cold weather kept us trapped inside most of the time.  We also had a million guests at our house, and while that seemed like the right thing to do at the time, I now realize that we were completely ill-equipped to entertain.  I wanted to relax and spend my time off with Aiden, and Dan spent most of the break consumed with his tiny house (despite the fact that it was his family in town) which left little time for details like feeding and entertaining our guests.  Oops.  The good news? Everyone managed to make it out alive…but barely.

Here’s a few of our little family’s first Christmas morning photos…

Hi you!

Grandma and Rick. Grandma actually cooked several meals for us during her visit and brought us so many delicious cookies which was greatly appreciated! If it wasn’t for her and her amazing leftovers, our latter guest would most definitely have starved.  And Rick taught me how to knit. I’m almost done with my first hat which will be the first craft I’ve finished in uhhh…well EVER.

It was really nice having 11 days home with my little man.  Returning to work this week was nearly as brutal as when I started back after maternity leave.
